SCI-FI is a UK-Indonesia research project focused on delivering sustainable, affordable cooling solutions for small-scale fisheries.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In many coastal communities, limited access to cold storage leads to significant post-harvest losses, reduced incomes, and wasted resources. SCI\u2011FI aims to address this by developing and deploying renewable-powered cooling hubs that support fishers, strengthen livelihoods, and reduce environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bringing together partners across the UK and Indonesia, the project combines engineering, social science, and community engagement to support a just and low-carbon energy transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
